Websites

A site that explains what you do, shows up on Google and turns visits into enquiries.

Sydney-based. Working Australia-wide.

Illustration: a small business homepage sketches itself in blue pencil, then becomes a finished page. Someone fills in the quote form, and the enquiry travels along a wire into a database, then sends an alert to the owner and a confirmation to the customer.

Websites

What you get

Your website has three jobs. It explains what you do, shows you’re worth trusting, and makes it easy to get in touch. I design, write and build small business websites that do those three things, and I stay involved after launch.

I’m based in Edgecliff and do small business website design for Sydney, plus clients across Australia. You deal with me directly. No account manager and no hand-off to someone you’ve never met.

  3. Quote and booking forms

How it fits together

Built to bring in enquiries

This is what happens when someone fills in the quote form on a site I’ve built. Nothing waits for you to remember to check an inbox.

  1. 01

    Google search

Someone looks for what you do, in your area.

  2. 02

    Your page

A page written for that search, with one clear next step.

  3. 03

    Quote form

Short, clear and easy to finish on a phone.

  4. 04

    Enquiry database

Every enquiry saved, with the page it came from.

  5. 05

    Alert to you

An email the moment it arrives.

  6. 06

    Confirmation to them

So the customer knows it got through.

§ 01

Built to be found

A good-looking site that nobody finds doesn’t help anyone. So web design and SEO start together, before a single page is designed.

I research what your customers actually type into Google, then plan the pages around those searches. Each page gets one clear job, a proper title and description, and a heading structure that search engines and screen readers can follow.

  • Keyword research and a page-by-page plan
  • Fast pages that work properly on phones
  • Titles, descriptions and headings written for real searches
  • A sitemap, Google Search Console and tracking set up at launch

SEO is the ongoing part. This is the foundation, built in from day one.

More on SEO and growth

§ 02

Written, not filled in

Most small business websites fail on the words, not the design. “Quality service” and “customer focused” tell a visitor nothing.

I write the copy in plain English after talking to you about the business: what you do, who for, and why someone should pick you. If you already have copy, I’ll edit and structure it rather than starting again.

§ 03

Redesigns, without starting from zero

A website redesign doesn’t have to mean throwing everything away. I begin with an audit of what you have: what brings in traffic, what turns visits into enquiries, what’s broken and what’s worth keeping.

Then I tell you honestly whether you need a polish, a rebuild or something in between. Pages that already rank keep their addresses, or are redirected properly, so you don’t lose what you’ve earned.

§ 04

How long it takes

Most business websites take three to five weeks from deposit to launch. The biggest factor is how quickly content and feedback come back.

  1. Plan

A call, research, a page plan and a fixed quote.

  2. Design

The key pages designed for you to approve before anything is built.

  3. Build

I build and write the site, connect your tools and test on real phones.

  4. Launch

Live, tracked and handed over, with everything in your name.

The full process

Problem, then fix

Sounds familiar?

  1. The problem

Your site looks dated, and customers check your competitors first.

    What I’d do

A website redesign planned around what people search for, in a look that matches the business you are today.

  2. The problem

Enquiries arrive by phone, email and Instagram, and some slip through.

    What I’d do

One quote form that saves every enquiry, alerts you straight away and confirms with the customer.

  3. The problem

You paid for a site and now can’t change a word of it.

    What I’d do

A site in your name, with the way you’ll edit it agreed before I start.

FAQ

Questions about websites

How much does a small business website cost?

It depends on the number of pages, the features and how much copywriting is involved, so I give a fixed quote after a short call. You pay in three stages: 40% to start, 30% when you approve the design and 30% at launch.

How long does a website take?

Most business websites take three to five weeks from deposit to launch. The biggest factor is how quickly content and feedback come back.

Will my website show up on Google?

I build the foundations properly: research, page structure, speed and tracking. Nobody can honestly promise a ranking. Local suburb searches usually move within a few months, and competitive terms take longer.

Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes. I start with a short audit so we both know what’s working, then quote the improvements. Pages that already bring in traffic are protected.

Do you write the website copy?

Yes. I write it in plain English after a conversation with you, so it sounds like your business. If you have copy already, I’ll edit and structure it.

Do I own the website?

You do. The domain, hosting, code and data are set up in your business’s name, and I’m added as a team member. If we stop working together, everything stays with you.
