How I work, and what it costs.

Four steps, a fixed quote before anything starts, and everything set up in your name.

Most business websites take three to five weeks from deposit to launch. The biggest factor is how quickly content and feedback come back.

H-02Programme

From first call to launch, on one timeline.

Four steps, with a fixed quote before anything starts. Here’s how a typical small business site runs, and when each payment falls.

  1. Plan

A call to understand the business, then research, a plan and a fixed quote.

I ask about your customers, your competitors and what a good result looks like. You get a written plan and a fixed quote before anything starts.

    • A call
    • Research
    • A plan
    • A fixed quote
  2. Design

Designs for the key pages. You approve them before anything is built.

You see real pages, not mood boards. You approve the design before I build anything, and that approval triggers the second payment.

    • Key page designs
    • Your approval first
  3. Build

I build and write it, connect your tools and test on real phones.

I write the copy, build the site, connect forms, payments and tracking, and test on real devices. You review it before it goes live.

  4. Launch and grow

Live with tracking set up, plus ongoing SEO and support if you want them.

I take it live, check everything works and hand over. Ongoing SEO, website care or new features are there if you want them, and optional if you don’t.

    • SEO and support, if you want them

H-03Fixed quotes

Fixed quotes, staged payments.

Every project starts with a short call. After that you get a fixed quote, in writing, based on what you need. You know the price before anything starts.

  1. 40%

    To start

    When you accept the quote.

  2. 30%

    At design approval

When you’ve signed off the design, before the build.

  3. 30%

    At launch

    When the site goes live.

You pay in three stages, so you’re never paying for work you haven’t seen.

H-04Reviews

Three rounds of review, built in.

At each stage you review the work and send feedback. I make the changes and you check again.

H-05Ownership

You own everything.

Everything is set up in your business’s name. You own the site, the code and every enquiry it collects. No shared passwords and no lock-in.

H-06The price

What affects the cost of a website.

There’s no price list, because no two sites are the same. Website design cost mostly comes down to the things on this sheet. Tick what applies to see how it adds up.

The quote lists what’s included, so you can see exactly where the price comes from.

How much does a website cost?

Every project gets a fixed quote after a short call, based on what you need. You pay in three stages: 40% to start, 30% when you approve the design and 30% at launch.

How long does it take?

Most business websites take three to five weeks from deposit to launch. The biggest factor is how quickly content and feedback come back.

Who owns the site?

You do. Hosting, code, domain and data are set up in your business’s name, and I’m added as a team member. If we stop working together, everything stays with you.

What are the running costs?

Hosting and any tools are paid directly by you, and I explain each one upfront. Many small sites run on free or low-cost plans.

Can you work on my existing site?

Yes. I start with a short audit so we both know what we’re working with, then quote the fixes or improvements.

What are the three review rounds?

At each stage you review the work and send feedback. I make the changes and you check again. Three rounds are built into every project. If something goes beyond that, I tell you before I do any extra work and we agree it first.

What do I need to give you?

A short call, your logo and brand details if you have them, photos you’re happy to use, and answers to a few questions about your customers. I write the copy, so you don’t need to bring words. I’ll also ask for access to accounts like your domain, so I can set things up in your name.

Do you keep working with me after launch?

If you want me to. Website care, SEO and new features are all optional. Some clients stay, some don’t, and the site is theirs either way.
