SEO & growth
Research, technical SEO and reporting on the enquiries it brings in.
Sydney-based. Working Australia-wide.
Illustration: a search results page sketches itself. Your listing climbs the results and gets the highlighter, then a chart of enquiries from search draws itself and feeds a monthly report. It is an example, not a promised ranking.

SEO & growth
What you get
SEO is the work of making your business easy to find when people search for what you do. I’m an SEO consultant in Sydney. I do SEO for small business, including local SEO, technical SEO and ecommerce SEO, and I report on what matters: calls and enquiries.
There are no tricks here. It’s research, good pages, a tidy site and patience, plus a clear report each month on what changed.
- Keyword research
- Technical SEO
- Google Business Profile
- Showing up in AI answers
- Google Ads setup
- Monthly reporting
How it fits together
From search to enquiry
Rankings are only a step on the way. I track the whole route, from the search to the call or form that follows.
- 01
Google search
Someone looks for what you do.
- 02
AI answer
Or asks an assistant such as ChatGPT or Google’s AI answers.
- 03
Your page
A clear page that answers the question and is easy to read, for people, search engines and AI tools.
- 04
Enquiry
A call, email or form, tracked so we know where it came from.
- 05
Monthly report
A plain-English summary of what changed and what’s next.
§ 01
Research first
Before I touch a page, I find out what your customers search for, how often, and who already ranks. That decides which pages to build, fix or leave alone.
- The searches that bring in customers, not just traffic
- Which competitors appear, and what they do well
- Gaps where a clear, helpful page could rank
You get a plain-English plan, not a wall of data.
§ 02
Technical SEO
Technical SEO is the behind-the-scenes setup that lets search engines read your site properly. Most of it is invisible when it’s right and costly when it’s wrong.
- Fast pages on mobile
- Clear page titles, descriptions and headings
- One correct address for every page, plus a sitemap
- Structured data: markup that tells search engines what a page is about, such as a business, product or FAQ
- Broken links and redirects fixed
- Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools connected
§ 03
Local SEO and Google Business Profile
For “near me” and suburb searches, your Google Business Profile matters as much as your website. Local SEO in Sydney means getting that profile right and keeping your details consistent everywhere you’re listed.
- The right categories, services and service areas
- Photos and posts that show real work
- Your name, address and phone number consistent across directories
- A simple way to ask for reviews, and replies to the ones you get
For “near me” searches, the profile and your reviews usually do more work than extra website pages.
§ 04
Ecommerce SEO
Online stores have their own SEO problems: many near-duplicate product and filter addresses, thin category pages and slow templates.
I tune collections, product titles and descriptions, product structured data and internal links, so the pages that sell are the ones search engines understand best.
§ 05
Showing up in AI answers
People increasingly ask ChatGPT, Google’s AI answers and other assistants instead of typing a search. These tools read the open web, so the basics still apply. AI search optimisation is mostly good SEO, done carefully.
- Pages that answer real questions directly, in plain text rather than hidden in scripts or images
- Clear, consistent facts about who you are, where you work and what you do
- Structured data and a tidy site structure
- A deliberate decision about which crawlers (the programs that read websites for search and AI tools) can read your site
- Mentions on credible sites, which come from doing good work
Nobody controls what an AI answer says, and anyone who promises to is guessing. I make your site easy to read and cite, then check what the assistants say about you and fix wrong answers at the source.
§ 06
Google Ads setup and monthly reporting
If you want customers sooner than SEO delivers, I can set up Google Ads: account structure, keywords, ads, conversion tracking and a budget you control. The ads account is in your name and you pay Google directly. I explain what a click is likely to cost before you commit.
Each month you get a short report covering search positions for the terms we’re targeting, visits from search, and the calls and enquiries that followed, with a plain explanation of what changed and what I’ll do next.
§ 07
No ranking guarantees, and why
I won’t promise you the number one spot, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Google doesn’t sell guaranteed positions, rankings depend on competitors and on updates nobody sees coming, and the same search can show different results to different people.
What I do promise: the research is real, the pages are built properly, the technical set-up is correct and the report is honest, including when a number goes the wrong way. Local suburb searches usually move within a few months. Competitive terms take longer.
My current SEO projects are still new, so I’m not quoting results I don’t have yet. I’ll publish them when there’s something real to show.
Problem, then fix
Sounds familiar?
The problem
Your competitors show up first and you’re hard to find.
What I’d do
A plan built on the searches that matter, then the pages and set-up to match.
The problem
You’re paying for SEO and can’t tell what it’s doing.
What I’d do
A monthly report on enquiries and calls, not a page of vanity numbers.
The problem
Your Google Business Profile hasn’t been touched since you set it up.
What I’d do
A profile with the right categories, services, photos and review replies, checked regularly.
How long does SEO take?
Local suburb searches usually move within a few months. Competitive terms take longer. I report each month so you can see the direction even before the big numbers move.
Do you guarantee page one?
No, and no one honestly can. I do the research, build the pages properly and report on what changes.
What does local SEO involve?
Getting your Google Business Profile right, making your name, address and phone consistent across directories, building pages for the areas you serve, and a simple process for collecting reviews.
Do I need Google Ads as well?
Not always. SEO builds slowly, ads can start sooner but stop when you stop paying. I’ll tell you which fits your budget and timing.
Can you do SEO for an online store?
Yes. I work on collections, product pages, structured data, speed and internal links, and connect it to Merchant Centre if you sell through Google Shopping.
What is AI search optimisation?
It’s making your site easy for tools like ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers to read and cite: clear facts, plain-text answers, structured data and open access for the crawlers you want. It’s mostly good SEO done carefully.
